Why We Built Komnot
Scams and phishing attacks are growing fast, especially through messaging apps where fake links, infected files, and fraudulent texts spread easily. Most people don't have the technical background to tell a safe link from a dangerous one. Komnot was created to close that gap by putting a simple, trustworthy safety check where people already spend their time, inside Telegram, without needing extra apps or technical knowledge.
What Komnot Can Do
Komnot can scan files and links you send it and warn you if they look dangerous. It can also check text messages for spam or phishing patterns before you click or reply. On top of scanning, it includes a built in cybersecurity assistant you can chat with to ask questions like how to spot a fake bank message or what to do after clicking a suspicious link. The bot understands both English and Khmer, so it's accessible to a wider range of users in Cambodia and beyond.

Built With Privacy in Mind
Every check comes with clear privacy controls. Users can see exactly what data is looked at and decide what the bot is allowed to check in their private chats. Daily usage limits keep the service fair and sustainable for everyone, while still giving people enough checks to stay protected day to day.
The Bigger Picture
Komnot is more than a single bot feature. It's part of a larger platform focused on community safety, cybersecurity awareness, and reliable news, with the Telegram bot acting as the most direct, everyday tool for protecting people from digital threats. The goal is simple: make basic online safety accessible to anyone with a Telegram account, no technical skills required.
